This is what actual buyers have had to say:
“This is an exceptionally long story but one has great difficulty in stopping reading because even if one is tired it can be extremely difficult to put the book down.”

“I read about 50 books a year – normally from the Amazon Top 100 chart. Having read them all – I had to search a little deeper for my next crime fix. I am so glad I did, as this is without doubt the best book I have read in the last 12 months! To top it all – it is the authors first title.”

“This book is like a meatier James Patterson novel. It grips you right from the start, but unlike Pattersons novels it gives more depth & insight into the characters.”

“It sounds a bit cliche but i just couldn’t put it down, reading just a few pages more until i was hooked into another line of the story, “yes dear, just a couple more pages” was the most spoken phrase to my wife until it was finished.”

What the press has said:
“In this quite challenging, lengthy read there is a really good novel of about half the length waiting to get out.”

Phillip Malcolm’s response: It was a conscious decision to add the depth required to give real meaning to the story and charactors, and I always realised that the result might put off some potential readers. So I accept Phil Ramage’s thoughts on the book although, as we have never met, I thought the comment about my previous job was, perhaps, a little unfair.
